how to position Colombo 5 star hotel in social media?



Hi every one
       Today i am going to evaluate srilanka Five Star hotels Brand Heath in social media.
       Hotel is service sector .it's a people processing also high contact service.srilanka is tourism country .if hotels want to keep their reputation in customer mind who want to manage social media effectively.because more than 90% customers coming from other countries.social media give help to attract new customers to business and it's very easy and cost effective method.
      i have choiced 3 of srilanka five star hotels to evaluate.

       1-Cinnamon Lakeside Hotel (My brand)
       2-Hotel Galadari (competitor)
       3-Cinnamon Grand   Hotel (competitor)

i have select 5 criteria to evaluate ..

1-Reach- Reach the number of people you reach through Social media profiles. 
2-Quality of Audience- How relevant is your reach to your target group
3-Engagement- How deeply people engage with the brand
4-Share of voice- How often people talk about your brand
5-Sentiment- How positive or negative the conversations about the brand going



   Reach


1.Facebook fan count

Cinnamon Lakeside Hotel has powerful fan base on Facebook compared to Hotel Galadari  and Cinnamon Grand . 

2.Twitter follower count
  All three Hotels have twitter accounts.but no good followers audience. Cinnamon Lakeside Hotel have 457 followers. Cinnamon Grand hotel is big one 708 follower in there.

3.Youtube channel views
  still srilnka marketers not touch youtube channel . but those hotel maintain youtube channel properly.My brand not well.but  Cinnamon Grand had big channel views ..

4.Number of other social networks the brand is active on.
   only one brand is active in these hotels.

Quality of audience

1.% of Local Fans in Facebook
5star hotel customer form everywhere .3 of hotel have big fans in sri lanka. Cinnamon Lakeside lead fan base.

2.% of good followers in Twitter
Cinnamon Lakeside 75% ,Cinnamon Grand 74%,Hotel Galadari 64% good followers base is good all hotels

Engagement goals
1.Facebook PTA as a % of Total Fans
Cinnamon Grand  is over take the Cinnamon Lakeside when it comes to PTA.Therefore Cinnamon Lakeside needs to give their attention to improve it by sharing interesting things in their social media networks specialy in Fb.

2.KLOUT Score for the Brand
Cinnamon Grand  is the only brand which is engaged in KLOUT.So  Cinnamon Lakeside needs to be a influencer in KLOUT.

Share voice

1.No of relevant results for a brand search on Google Blog Search (within top 20 links)
   hotels make occasion for enjoy peoples.within top 20 links for these brand in Google blog.

2.No of @Mentions during last 48 Hours
Cinnamon Grand hotel have 22 mentions during last 48 hours.but  Cinnamon Lakeside and Hotel Galadari are not well.it's mean Cinnamon Grand maintain twitter properly . 



Srilanka hotel industry has big competition with other Hotels. In 5stars Hotels be differentiation other hotels. Because they have competition with others.5stars customers high class customers in srilanka or others .lot of customers are using social media. Hotels must manage their social media to identify customer’s needs and wants and promote service. Cinnamon Lakeside Hotel  is very famous hotel in Colombo. But hotel have faced big competition .in social media their result is very good. Social media health score is 81.18 it is good score in social media. But they must enhance twitter and facebook audience to reach to customers. So i highlight, if we have big fan base but not talking about our brand, it’s not well. We want to something different say. So other media YouTube, blogs is helped to enhance our social media cover. Also Hotel Galadari, Cinnamon Grand Hotels are handling social media very effectively. Cinnamon Lakeside Hotel wants to differentiate to get effective result in social media.

What is the world most popular search engine ? definitely your  answer is Google .. Actually 86% world total searching share goes to Google.in srilanka more than 90% peoples are using Google product for their serching requirement.


if i search about  "rent car in srilanka"
result 

only one Google adworld for rent car.. 

Today i am going to looking for how to develop Google Adword campaign for "rent car service"

secondly create new campaign 

Google Adword campaign is depend on PPC (pay per click ) .we can keep bid and budget on our mind.if someone want to search car for rent who search via search engines.in Google no good Ads in this Key word.
we can find about keywords in google as our requirements. 






  After i can get keywords,local searchers,global searchers, competition related with our future campaign.we can design how we plan and what is the most effective keyword for use our Adwords campaign. 




i choiced "rent car in srilanka"keyword for campaign.it's competition is medium and Local Monthly Searches 4,400 .

After we can create good ad for Google Adword campaign .

Hi My Friends .. i have good experiences about online lecture

2013/05/10 . 2013 marketing batch mates was studying online lecture in 07 IT room in university.lecture was delivering lecture about search engine optimization from Australia.we are in Sri Lanka.I had experiance Skype and yahoo messenger from Canada,new zeialand, Malaysia to Sri Lanka via online calling.but that experiance is very different .because lecture delivery their words with presentation and online examples.i feeled we went beyond borders.first time i saw our marketing alumina via internet calling.itective is very cost effective method to use for lecture.srilnka university have good education system .but they want to improve that method because world other university update every second who education system via internet.

The Digital Marketing Revolution. Is Sri Lanka Ready?



Sri Lanka is my mother country. In the world no other country some with srilanka . srilanka has big history .more than 74% peoples are sinhala.70% of Buddhism. Our peoples are very different among other peoples. Because srilankans have their own values related with the Buddhist culture. Other hand srilanka is still developing country that 100$ billion GDP per year. so  peoples are called srilanka is poor country. I don’t know “I am right”? So srilankans haven’t any money to spent for other wants.20% peoples are very poor,60% middle level and other 20% rich peoples.90% total income goes to 20% peoples .so I try to say about my mother country actual situation . 

    marketing is myopia.in my world marketing is playing with human felling and money.. Weston countries and american countries are very rich countries .their GDP going with $trillions.buying power is very high .those countries only focus their economic numbers.
srilnakan marketers like western marketers. because flow of knowledge coming by western.they want to tell they work like western peoples work, but srilanka is different form other countries. 

what is the digital marketing? if hear this question ,you mind go to about social meadi. because it is key factors in digital marketing which market their  product via digital media.facebook,twitter,google+,youtube,myspace and hi5 are world famous social medias which earnings very high in few years.google,yahoo,bring search engine ppc and optimization other way of digital marketing.

srilanka population is 21 millions ,it is not big population as well as other countries.so internet users 3.2 milions (15%),faceook users 1.5 milions (0.75%),twitter 25000(0.012%) .in this data not suitable or digital marketing revolution .becouse only 15% have internet and other 85% peoples without internet ,we can't think about revolution.most of internet users in age(15-25).actually they are not consumer in srilanka.in srilanka context 95% consumers  are father or mother who can't get something via digital marketing .
